EMRISE CORPORATION RECEIVES $420,000 ORDER FOR RADIO FREQUENCY DEVICES

Program Expected to Exceed $1.25 Million in Orders in 2009

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, California – April 1, 2009 - EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca: ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that it has received a $420,000 order for radio frequency (RF) devices, which is the second release in a program that is expected to exceed $1.25 million in 2009. The RF devices will be employed in remote-controlled improvised explosive device (RCIED) jamming systems. The order was received from an existing customer and is expected to commence shipment immediately.

RCIED jamming systems are designed to prevent the detonation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Often called roadside bombs, IEDs wound or kill thousands of people in military conflicts around the world.

EMRISE Chief Executive Officer Carmine T. Oliva said that the Company expects additional RF device orders for this program in 2009, and that all the orders should ship this year with approximately one half of the remaining orders expected in the third quarter and the balance expected in the fourth quarter.

The orders were received by the Company’s Advanced Control Components, Inc. (ACC) subsidiary, which develops and supplies a wide variety of RF and microwave devices, including RF devices to support RCIED jamming systems used by the U.S. military.

Oliva said, “This order, combined with the additional orders we expect to receive for this program in 2009, has greatly increased our confidence that ACC will meet or exceed their aggressive sales objectives for the first 12 months following our acquisition of the RF company in August 2008.

“We are also expecting to receive, from another existing but much larger customer, additional orders for RF devices to be used in a significantly larger program for RCIED jamming systems that our customer is providing to the U.S. military,” Oliva added. “ACC has proven to be an important acquisition for EMRISE and its shareholders as it is opening new markets and making significant contributions to our top and bottom line performance. These orders for RF devices are adding to our already strong and growing Company backlog.”
