EMRISE RECEIVES $850,000 ORDER FOR CUSTOM POWER SUPPLY UNITS FOR MARINE APPLICATION IN EUROPEFor Ongoing Support of Systems Currently in Service, Part of Multi-Year ProgramRANCHO CUCAMONGA, California - April 21, 2009 - EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca: ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced that it has received an $850,000 follow-on order for custom power supply units to be used in a shipboard application for a multi-year marine program in Europe. The order, which was received from a prime multi-national customer, is for the continuing support of systems currently in service and is to be delivered during 2009 and 2010. EMRISE Chairman, President and CEO Carmine T. Oliva said the order was received by the Company’s Xcel Power Systems Ltd subsidiary located in England, and is representative of the type of multi-year, multi-million dollar opportunities the Company has for commercial, government and military business from a number of its major European customers. “We expect to receive additional orders for this program and believe they will be significant near-term and long-term contributors to revenues,” Oliva added. “Securing the business for this program was the result of Xcel’s investing in working closely with this longstanding customer to develop a high quality, custom power solution to meet its requirements,” Oliva said. “Orders such as this further demonstrate the Company’s ability to win and make timely deliveries on large, multi-year contracts for custom-designed and custom-built products. This is further evidence of the buoyancy of the European military business, similar to what we are experiencing in the USA.” About Xcel Power Systems, Ltd XCEL Power Systems Ltd, located in Ashford, Kent, England, provides an extensive range of custom military and semi-custom and standard high voltage power supply products.
