EMRISE CORPORATION RECEIVES $800,000 IN TEST EQUIPMENT ORDERS FOR A MAJOR FRENCH TELECOMMUNICATIONS CUSTOMER
Orders Contribute to Already Strong Second Quarter Order Entry Trend in France
EATONTOWN, NJ - April 20, 2010 - EMRISE CORPORATION (NYSE Arca: ERI), a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic devices and communications equipment, today announced it has received $800,000 in orders for test equipment for a major French telecommunications customer. Shipment of these orders, which were received from an existing customer, is expected to begin and to be completed during June 2010.
The orders were received by the Company's CXR Anderson Jacobson (CXR-AJ) subsidiary located in France. CXR-AJ provides a wide range of communications network access products including new edge network timing and synchronization products sourced from EMRISE's CXR-Larus subsidiary located in San Jose, CA.
EMRISE Chief Executive Carmine T. Oliva said that these orders were a result of CXR-AJ's focus on expanding its resurgent test equipment business beyond its core French markets into other key Western European markets.
CXR-AJ provides new-generation field test solutions for public telecommunications and cable providers in the French market. These test solutions enable field engineers to qualify communications services, and to troubleshoot transport and service related issues within a customer's central office and in outside plant locations. "We are especially pleased to receive these orders since they are expected to ship in June and, therefore, will contribute to our already strong second quarter in France," Oliva added. "This additional test equipment business in France adds to our already strong telecommunications test equipment business in the U.S. for the FAA and U.S. military."
